I wish I could put together a coherent post about one topic, but that is just not what I am able to do tonight. My mind is in too many directions at once. So, here are some things on my mind...
1. My art wall at Cazenovia Artisans, November 2010
2. Winter wonderland. We have been getting hammered with snow here since Saturday! (As I write this, we are due for another 8-12 tonight.) I'm a little snow obsessed right now, I must admit. My dogs are so sweet in the snow! Mason, the one we just adopted, is from a track in Florida so this is his first time to see snow. It is hilarious because they both get so jazzed up and do helicopter spins over and over. They have to wear these super cute coats because they have virtually no fat whatsoever on their bodies. So cute.
But at 6 in the morning when my husband and I were (yet again) shoveling and snow blowing the driveway, I felt frustrated. When I got back inside and could feel my fingers again, I had to make a list of all that I love and am grateful for about living here. Truth is, mostly I do LOVE the snow and changing seasons. I am grateful for the beauty of the snow. And I am SO grateful for snow blowers. And I am SO grateful for the husband who uses one :) Maybe tomorrow I will make some snow angels and think of my friend, Carissa, in sunny Florida!

Lori your art wall is gorgeous!
I am getting hammered with snow here too. We've had more snow in the last week than in the entire winter last year!
I decided to write a list of what I love about snow to balance out my aching body's resentment of shoveling! It's posted on my blog if you're curious :)

I loved seeing those photos of your be-sweatered dogs! seriously cute :-)
oh my goodness, all that snow!! where do you live? i can't imagine all the shoveling you must do throughout the winter. i've never lived in a place that gets snow but it seems kind of cool to me. but perhaps it gets old if you actually live in it!
lori .. i love random post s..your dogs look like they are enjoying the weather and so stylish.
It is a joy to see your paintings grouped together .. you are amazing!
lori, i too love the snow...the extreme cold can be a little daunting...but never the snow. my biggest wish is to wake up snowed in so i will have to play in my studio all day!
xoxo
Your dogs are beautiful, Lori!!!
I agree - love the snow, but get frustrated with the inconvenience. No snow in Massachusetts yet, but we usually are inundated in January and february.
Stay warm as much as you can!
Hugs to you!
Look at those fuzzy snow angels in their little jackets! OMG I love that. I love how the "turtleneck" part comes up almost like a hood! Do they velcro under their bellies or do you have to get them on over their heads? Our outdoor cats seem to love the snow, too, chasing it and wondering why a snowball disappears on impact. Your wall at Caz looks great. A perfect example that art looks good on colored walls. :-)
Your wall is amazing, all that color! Gorgeous! We are wishing for snow here so badly in NYC, with all of the cold weather I just wish that we had snow. But, yes I'm dreaming of Florida a little bit too. ;) xo
your work looks amazing a thousand times over all grouped in one spot. WOW. just WOW.
oh they are so cut in those jackets...very snazzy styling beauties indeed;D
I got fustrated yesterday too with the snow, or rather my neighbours! we have a long driveaway and no snow blower so there's me and Jon breaking our backs trying to dig ourselves out (only to find the car dead and that we had to call a tow truck!) and the two neighbours on BOTH sides of us, zip out and zoom through the snow with their snowblowers in like 5 minutes and go back inside....you'd think they could have popped over the extra 10 feet to help us out! I was pretty annoyed!
absolutely loving the art wall.
Oh! Your art! And your adorable, stylish dogs...and YOU! It's almost too much for a heart to hold.
You're beautiful, my friend.
xo
Your art is SO beautiful!! I just love how much color you use in all your paintings, it is so happy :)
Your dogs are adorable as well!
Your wall looks beautiful - wow, look at all that colorful art :)
and goodness, so much snow! It snowed for us too, but only a couple inches.
i agree with my soul sister Aimee....
AAAAAA-MAAAAAAAAAAAA-ZING work all bundled up together like your sweet dogs in all that snow!!!
i love you dearly and miss you much!!!
come see me in cali....NO SNOW HERE BABY!

My little Jack Russell loves the snow too, he just digs and digs and digs! He also loves to eat snowballs. I too am VERY grateful for my snow shovel wielding husband who has been very busy these days with all the snow London has been getting. x
Il semble que vous soyez un expert dans ce domaine, vos remarques sont tres interessantes, merci.
