hello dear friends!
I am stepping away from my art table to say a little hello.
I have been deep in painting mode here. I have two more paintings to finish in the series before taking pictures and sharing. I have found that when I spend too much time on my computer, my art productivity goes way down (hello, clay? remember me?) So, this is something I am trying to work through- managing my time with art business, marketing, social networking, blogging, filling orders, keeping my studio clean (a full time job in itself) and making art.
I do not yet have it figured out but I'm working on it. Let me know if you have any fabulous tips. I'm all ears. In the meantime, back to painting. See you soon.

I am a victim to the internet thief stealing my time for creativity as well. I usually have to just lock myself in my studio without the computer. Otherwise I'm tempted to see what you and the rest of the world are up to! Maybe admitting it is the first step... HA! ;) we'll see

i love the friends my computer has brought me, but it can be a time suck! good luck finishing your paintings!!!
I think most of us struggle with this! So glad to see you making the conscious decision to step away from the computer and immersing yourself in your art!

hi lori! well, i set up a plan because of this very thing! i have to work full time, so it really cuts into my creative time...then blogging and visits take up the rest! so i put myself on a computer diet. i miss everyone, but i've been able to finish so many paintings the past few weeks and lot's of jewelry and am now doing a line of cards...so computer time down, productivity up!
i have a schedule and will set an alarm if i have to to remind myself to switch gears. funny sounding, but so far it's working! just like pre-school, i have a schedule and i'm sticking to it!
